UNT Vocal Pedagogy Workshop
This workshop will focus on the exploration and application of historical voice building leading to growth and development :
How to establish a bel canto quality in the singing voice
How to build a robust quality in the voice
How to eliminate breathiness
How to teach the female voice, extend the range, and solidify the middle voice
How to teach the male voice and extend the range
All based upon historical pedagogical principles as taught be leading teachers of the 19th century: Garcia, Lamperti, Stockhausen, and other important teachers.
**Voice teachers can bring their students at no charge! no unaccompanied minors may attend.

The Vocal Pedagogy Workshop at University of Georgia
The workshop will focus on traditional voice building leading to growth and development:
- How to build a robust quality in the voice
- How to eliminate breathiness
- How to teach the male passaggio and extend the range
- How to get your young sopranos and mezzos to sing successfully above the staff
- All based upon a traditional bel canto pedagogy as interpreted through the lens of contemporary voice science.

- How to get your young sopranos and mezzos to sing successfully above the staff
- All based upon pedagogy as taught by Garcia, Lamperti, Stockhausen and other important 19th century teachers.
Student singers are invited to attend at no charge if accompanied by the voice teacher. They will be offered the opportunity to sing in master classes and observed lessons given by Dr. Austin.
All college students can attend at a reduced fee.
